Welcome! I am a Ph.D. student in the Department of Political Science at the Ohio State University specializing in International Relations and Political Methodology. I am also a Student Affiliate at the Mershon Center for International Security Studies at OSU.
My research focuses on international organizations, institutional reform, international law, compliance, and global governance (with a special focus on health/climate politics). For my dissertation, I examine how scholars conceptualize and measure institutional reform across international organizations, and whether a particular conceptualization (1) masks variation across institutional reforms, (2) has implications for the understanding of rational design and the greater Liberal International Order (LIO). I employ a diverse methodological toolkit, including experiments, statistical methods, text analysis, and machine learning. Relatedly, I am also interested how concepts are developed, measured, and adopted into research design.
Before Ohio State, I completed my B.A. in International Studies and History at Boston College and my M.A. in Political Science and International Relations at Seoul National University.
